Dr Tejinder Kaur specializes in inter-disciplinary fields. She is M.A., M.Phil (Sociology), LL.B, LL.M and Doctorate in Law from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She is actively involved in teaching and research with many publications to her credit.
She is associated with the institute for the past more than 16 years. She was the Officiating Principal of the Institute from 2nd August 2012 to 14th May, 2019. Under her able guidance the institute has carved a niche in the field of law and making rapid strides towards excellence in the field of legal education. In recognition of her services, the Army Commander, Western Command awarded her with the Army Commander Commendation Card on 15 Aug 2015 and Chief of Army Staff has awarded her with the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card on 26 Apr 2016.
She has taken over as Principal on 15th May, 2019.

Ms Ekjyot Kaur Gujral is associated with teaching from 2012 onwards. She did her B.A.(Hons) in Geography from Khalsa College, Ludhiana and her Masters in Economics from Department of Economics, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Her areas of interest are Indian Economy and Human Resource Development. She has been teaching Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Indian Economy and Development Economics. She is also teaching Legal History from 2013 onwards. She has presented research papers at national conferences and has a paper publication to her credit.
Apart from teaching, She is a part of the Academic Curriculum Advisory Committee of the institute. She is also looking into organization of guest lectures at the institute by legal luminaries and prominent people from other fields.
Dr. Bajirao Anant Rajwade has been associated with the Army Institute since August 2003. After completing his Law degree from the Punjab University in 1992, he joined the Punjab and Haryana High Court with the then additional public prosecutor Mr. R S Rai. He completed his LLM in 1997 and joined PhD under the able guidance of Prof. Dr. D N Jauhar. After finishing his Doctoral degree in 2003, he has been teaching at AIL till date. He specializes in Criminal Law and is teaching/has taught the following subjects:

With a ten year teaching experience, Dr Sheetal Kapoor is MA, MPhil and a Doctorate in English from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She completed her Doctoral Research in Film Studies focusing on the projection of women in Indian Cinema and an analysis and interpretation of the Ideological framework of films. Her other research interests include Post- Colonial Literature, Culture Studies, Feminist Studies, Literary Theory and Criticism with special reference to the ideas of Michel Foucault and Edward Said. Having done her FTII and NFAI, Pune Film Course, she also takes avid interest in the critical appreciation of films and makes it an essential part of her teaching pedagogy, thereby facilitating students' comprehension of Literature. She has been associated with the Army Institute of Law for the past seven years and is presently teaching English and History.

Dr. Puja Jaiswal graduated in law from India's one of the most premier law institute- Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh. She obtained her Ph.D. Degree in the year 2011 as regular research fellow from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.
Dr. Puja is having more than nine years of teaching, research and administrative experience. In legal Education, she served at The ICFAI University, Dehradun; Law College, Uttranchal University Dehradun; and UILS, Chandigarh University and administrative experience with Women and Child Development Department, Govt. of Haryana.
She has a deep interest in research and has got many articles and research papers published in reputed journals and have also presented various research papers in various International and National Seminars/Conferences. She has contributed chapters in edited books also. She has successfully organized various para-academic activities/programs like national seminars, moot competitions, panel discussions, debate, poster making competition etc.

Dr. Kirandeep Kaur completed her B.A. LLB from the Calcutta University, Department of Law; LLM from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata; and Ph.D. in Law from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore. She is UGC NET Qualified.
Dr. Kirandeep Kaur has worked as a Researcher at the Centre for Women and the Law at the National Law School of India University, Bangalore (NLSIU, Bangalore) for the TATA-POWER-CSR Project. She was then appointed and worked as a Teaching Associate at NLSIU, Bangalore; and was later appointed and worked as Assistant Professor (Ad. hoc.) at NLSIU, Bangalore. She has also worked as an Assistant Professor of Law (Ad. hoc.) at the University School of Law, Rayat Bahra University, Mohali.
Dr. Kirandeep Kaur joined the Army Institute of Law in July, 2017. She has been teaching Labour and Industrial Laws; Health Law; and Aviation Law and Air Traffic Management at the Army Institute of Law, Mohali. She has authored a book on “Transplantation of Human Organs & Tissues in India - legal perspective” which was published in 2018. Her scholarly publications include chapters published in various books of reference, articles published in various reputed international and national Journals.She has presented papers at various national and international conferences. Her areas of interest in research and publication include Labour and Industrial Laws; Health Law; Women and the Law; and Aviation Law.

Ms Chanpreet Kaur has been associated with the Army Institute of Law since July 2015. She did her B.A.LL.B (Hons.) from University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh. Before joining AIL, Ms. Kaur was engaged in teaching at RBUSL, Rayat- Bahra University, Mohali. She is UGC- NET certified and her areas of interest include Constitutional Law, Human Rights and Women rights. She has presented papers in various National and International Conferences and Seminars. Dr. Kulpreet Kaur Bhullar did her graduation in Law from Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh. She completed her LL.M with specialization in Commercial and Corporate Laws from Kings College University of London, United Kingdom. She pursued research on the topic of Recognition and Enforcement of Arbitral Awards in International Commercial Arbitration: A study with reference to India and obtained her Ph.D. Degree from Department of Laws, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Dr. Kulpreet has more than ten years of teaching experience. She has written number of research papers which are published in reputed journals and have also presented papers in various International and National Seminars/Conferences. Dr Kulpreet has obtained advanced diploma in Intellectual Property Law from WIPO. She has also successfully organized national seminars and moot competition at national levels.

She has been a convener of various National Level Moot Court Competitions, published/ presented more than 15 research papers and has been a merit holder at graduation level. She has also taught LLM Students in the specialization of Criminal Law, supervised two dissertations and has been an active member of University Curricular Development and Research Committee in her previous organization. Her area of specialization is in criminal law and she has taught various subjects of Criminal Law likewise: Law of Crimes, Administration of Criminal Justice, General Principles of Crime, Offences against Child and Juvenile Offences, Prison Administration, Cross-border Organized Crimes, Gender Justice and Feminist Jurisprudence etc.

Mrs Amrita Rathi is associated with teaching from 2015.She did her graduation (2011) and post graduation (2013) from BPS Women University, Sonepat. She did her B.Ed from MDU, Rohtak in 2014. She is pursuing with her Ph.D. Degree on A Critical study of the law against Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace from Department of Laws, Punjab University, Chandigarh. She has a deep interest in research and has got many articles and research papers published in reputed journals and have also presented various research papers in various International and National Seminars/Conferences. She has contributed chapters in edited books also. Amrita Rathiis presently teaching Legal History, Law relating to Information Technology and Right to Information, Gender Justice and Drafting at the Army Institute of Law, Mohali. Her primary areas of interest in studies and research is Women Laws.

Ms Jasleen Chahal has been associated with the Army Institute of Law since August 2017. She did her B.A. (Economics Hons.) from MCM DAV College, Chandigarh. Thereafter she completed her LL.B. and LL.M from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She is UGC- NET certified and her areas of interest include Family Law and Media Law. She has presented papers in various National and International Conferences and Seminars. At Army Institute, she is engaged in teaching Family Law to the Second Year and Administrative Law as well as Media Law to the Third Year. Dr. Amita sharma has been teaching the discipline of Sociology for the last 20 years. She joined Army Institute of Law in 2004. Now it has been more than 15 years of her association with AIL. Prior to Army Institute of law, she taught in SD College, Sector 32, Chandigarh for three years She taught in Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 33, Chandigarh as lecturer of sociology for two years. She did her Post Graduation from Panjab University in Department of Sociology and received gold medal for standing first. She qualified UGC Test for lecturership. She received Diploma in Population Education from Panjab University, Chandigarh and stood third in the course. She did her B.Ed. from Kurukshetra University, Haryana. followed by M.Ed. from Panjab University, Chandigarh. She obtained her Ph.D. Degree from NIILM university, Haryana. She has published 6 articles in various national and international journals which shed light on various topics like an overview of perspectives on elder abuse in India, protection of right to maintenance and welfare of old age persons in India, problem of elder abuse in Chandigarh ,an Indian Perspective on Violence Against Women, review of the role of social psychological characteristics in mediating social structural effects on the experience of anger by Adults. Apart from this she has got two articles published in books out of which one focused on Open Prison System as a period of a convict’s convalescence. she has presented 18 papers in various national and international conferences on topics like Ageing, some solutions to elder abuse in India, discrimination as an obstacle to women empowerment in India, alarming increase in sex crime against women in India, the menace of Juvenile Delinquency: a socio legal perspective of acid attack in India etc. She has performed her duties as a presiding officer as well as member of severaladministrative boards at AIL constituted from time to time. She is the batch coordinator of 1st year. Dr.Gagandeep Dhaliwal has been associated with Army Institute of Law since 2004. She is M.A, M.Phil and PhD in the discipline of Political Science. She qualified UGC Test for lecturership. She has been in the field of teaching for 17 years. She has published 7 research articles in various national and international journals which dwell upon issues like role of National Human Rights Commission and the Constitution of India, Indian perspective on violence against women ,effectiveness of National Human Rights Commission in the context of women rights etc. Besides this she has published two articles in books which touched upon topics like position of human rights of the child in India. She has presented 16 papers at various national and international conferences which were on issues like Good Governance as a Right of citizens, an overview of Aged politicians in India, position of UN Millennium Development Goal -to promote gender equality and empower women in India, role of education and educationist in millennium Development Goal of UNO, Women ‘s political participation in India, National commission’s work towards eliminating violence against marginalized communities in the backdrop of Punjab’s culture, Religion In Indian Politics Over The Centuries signaling a need for political reform, political participation of Women in India with special reference to grass root Politics etc. Having been at AIL for 15 years she has performed her duties as the presiding officer as well as the member of several administrative boards at AIL. Qualifications- Dr. Bhupinder Kaur is currently working as Assistant Professor of Law in Army Institute of Law, Mohali. She has done her Ph.D from the Department of Laws, Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar in 2017. Earlier she did her LL.M from the Law Department of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in 2007. She completed her LL.B from the Department of Law of Punjabi University, Patiala in 2005. She has also graduated in Commerce.
Research Experience-She qualified for the UGC national eligibility test along with research fellowship i.e. NET-JRF in June 2012 and joined as Junior Research Fellow in March 2013 in the Dept. of Laws of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and completed her Ph.D as full time Senior Research Fellow in March, 2017. Her Ph. D thesis is titled as "Legal Protection to Contract Labour in India- A Study with Special reference to Sports Goods Manufacturing Industry, Jalandhar". This thesis is a radiant piece of field research undertaken in an age old and renounced international market based industry to assess the actual working conditions of labour, contractors and employers, outsourcing of works, implementation of legislations, working of the Government agencies and the role of international stakeholders. Her LL.M Dissertation is titled as 'A Critical Study of Environmental Law in India with Special Reference to Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981'. She has presented 15 research papers at various national and international seminars and conferences including three international seminars and 12 national ones.

She has got her 9 papers published in various law journals and books encompassing issues such as Statutory and Universal National Floor Level Minimum Wage, Global and National Employment Regulatory Regimes, Labour Force Participation Rate of Women Workers, Outsourcing Contracts, Role of Media Regulators, Ban on Mass Media in India, Right to Information, RERA 2016, IPRs in Defence Sector and Interface between Law and Technology etc.
Academic Career-Dr. Bhupinder Kaur started her teaching career with appointment as Assistant Professor in Dept. of Laws, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar in 2016. She got appointed as Assistant Professor in University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, Chandigarh in 2017 and served there for 2 years before she joined Army Institute of Law in July, 2019. Ms. Tanvir Dhaliwal completed her graduation in law from Punjabi University, Patiala in 2017. Thereafter, she went on to pursue her masters in Criminal Law from NALSAR, Hyderabad. During her masters, she conducted a rights-based analysis of the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Bill, 2016 and has also done research in various disciplines like Public law, Legal Theory and Criminal law. Additionally, she holds a PG Diploma in Media laws from NALSAR. She is UGC-NET certified, has a rich teaching experience and was formerly associated with institutions like Chandigarh University, Rayat Bahra University. She joined Army Institute of Law as an Assistant Professor in August 2020 and has taught Banking law, Land laws and Private International Law.
