The AIL Centre for Criminal Law and Justice, recently established within the framework of the esteemed Army Institute of Law, stands at the forefront of advancing the field of criminal law and justice. Having been incorporated in 2024, the Centre marks a significant step in addressing the evolving complexities and challenges within the criminal justice system.


PURPOSE AND VISION

The primary purpose of the AIL Centre for Criminal Law and Justice is to foster a comprehensive understanding of criminal law and its application. Our vision is to cultivate a robust environment for scholarly research, professional development that eventually contributes to the evolution of fair and effective criminal justice practices.

The Centre is dedicated to the following core objectives:

  • Research Excellence: Conducting cutting-edge research on contemporary issues in criminal law, such as legal reforms especially the newly introduced Criminal Codes, judicial processes, and the impacts of emerging technologies on justice.
  • Educational Advancement: Offering various interactive sessions, training sessions, guest lectures designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of students in the field of Criminal Law.
  • Enhance Engagement: Encouraging the participation in different competitions, opportunities relating to criminal justice.
